Sen. Dianne Feinstein: U.S. can no longer afford to be the "welfare system" for Mexico's poor

From a UPI article:
...Sen. Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., also is warning about the danger of too many illegal immigrants. She said the United States can no longer afford to be the ''welfare system'' for Mexico's poor...
Unfortunately, the UPI article is from August 26, 1993.

My favorite Feinstein quote is: "Why, I've flown over this state many times, and we have plenty of room here!"

Maybe she could declare eminent domain, pay for our houses in once peaceful neighborhoods, and we can all move to...all that empty space she knows of!

Shows you how basically useless Feinstein is.

I found your blog, and am impressed. I am glad that you are not swayed by the biased liberal media.

Here are my thoughts:

First off, I am not against immigration at all in its many legal forms.

Now that the record is set straight, there are a few points I would like to mention.

(1) The United States is a Soveriegn Nation with the authority to make its own laws and enforce them.

(2) There are many laws the US currently has that address immigration and the proper channels to go through in order to become a citizen or alien resident.

(3) Anyone who breaks any law should be penalized.

(4) The country of Mexico currently has immigration laws that make it a FELONY if you are in that country illegally. It is also a FELONY to demonstrate as an illegal immigrant on the streets of Mexico.

Conclusion: The U.S. does need immigration reform. In fact, we should take a page from the books of our distinguished neighbors, and make it a felony to be an illegal alien in the US. However, as it stands now, illegal immigrants in the US are not felons. But, being law breakers, they are Petty Criminals. Petty Criminals, no matter what their race, status and regardless of how long they have been residing in the U.S. (legally or illegally), should be procecuted according to the law. Punishment should be at the discretion of a Judge.

What is my solution to the immigration problem? Secure the borders. Enforce the laws we have.

If we do these two things, reform is not needed.

I felt that I just needed to sound off tonight after all these demonstrations accross the country.

Thanks for hearing my rant.
