Farmers Branch: Federal judge issues TRO over anti-illegal immigration ordinance

From this:
The Farmers Branch city ordinance banning apartments from renting to illegal immigrants won't go into effect Tuesday as planned because a federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order stopping the city from enforcing the ordinance.

Voters on May 12 by a 2-to-1 ratio said that they wanted the law, which requires apartment managers or owners to obtain proof from prospective tenants that they are U.S. citizens or in the country legally. But lawyers representing three groups of plaintiffs challenged the ordinance in federal court last week seeking the temporary restraining order to stop enforcement...

Now that the judge has issued the restraining order, a hearing must be held within 10 days to determine if the order would be lifted, or if a temporary injunction would be put in place to halt the city from implementing the law until the case goes to trial, attorneys on both sides said...

Both groups involved have the same, indirect link to the Mexican government.

This is what Mexico's money is directed toward, and, unfortunately, that money is sent to Mexico by mostly their citizens who are in our nation, illegally and legally. It is a counter-national movement from Mexico directed at overthrowing (for lack of any better word for it) the "will of the people" of the United States. And it's the very same method used by many with wealth to harm/discourage/deter antagonists and/or competitors: litigate them to death, or otherwise tie them up in legal demands that both deplete their energy to contest and their funds to do so. That a foreign government or governments (I suspect there are more than just Mexico involved but Mexico is certainly not a friendly nation to the U.S. - the very notion gives me shivers) would be so intrinsically invovled IN the U.S. in changing U.S. voter opinion (ongoing movement to do so) is something that our Senate and White House OUGHT to be involved in contending with, instead of assisting them in doing so. I complained earlier today about the very fact that La Raza was involved in this Amnesty legislation -- IN ANY WAY -- and asked their offices why, if so, that they don't give office time and consultation time on legislation to the likes of the KKK or perhaps, the Nazi Party? Silence. La Raza, Maldef and these others are ETHNIC SUPREMACY GROUPS and Congress AND the White House should be deploring these groups and the terms upon which they organize. Why they are is every U.S. citizen's worse fear.

TYPO (apologies, did not preview before posting): La Raza, Maldef and these others are ETHNIC SUPREMACY GROUPS and Congress AND the White House should be deploring these groups and the terms upon which they organize. Why the Congress and White House ARE NOT deploring them is every U.S. citizen's worse fear.

Seems that this is how it will forever be. The will of the electorate denied by a single person. If government is to be our servant, operating only on the consent of the governed, then barring the most extraordinarly un-constitutional legislation, the will of the People should be beyond question. And beyond the reach of discount aisle judges. Prop 187, ordinances in Farmers Branch, Hazelton, and more, should be enforced vigorously the day they become law, not the starting point for hungry un-American lawyers to start lining their pockets.

Yes, and remember the c*nt who threw out Prop. 187--treasonous federal judge Mariana Pfaelzer. Tyranny from the bench needs to be countered with tarring and feathering by the citizenry. If H.L. Mencken can say it, so can I.

"Yes, and remember the c*nt who threw out Prop. 187--treasonous federal judge Mariana Pfaelzer" The state of CA could have appealed-with cause, gov Gray Davis chose to not appeal, gov Ahhhhnold chose not to apppeal also.
