John McCain offers an interminable web ad called "Tolerance" (link), which basically says we shouldn't hate on each other. It's akin to something that employees are forced to watch at their indoctrinations or when they need reeducating, and it's difficult to imagine it coming from even Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. In fact, it's more appropriate for candidates in foreign countries such as England or Canada. Even if Bush had done something similar there'd be more of a cowboy theme in some way.
When promoting "tolerance", you're in effect calling some people intolerant. Could McCain be calling some of his current or future supporters intolerant? Or, could it be an attempt to play up the Jeremiah Wright scandal? Or, some combination?
And, do we really want to hear lectures like this coming from the White House? Haven't Bush's lectures (and those from his lackeys) been bad enough?
