The Washington DC branch of Occupy Wall Street appears to be the dimmest and least emotionally-controlled of their various chapters. And, that's really saying something.
For examples, see the videos below. In the first, they block a woman in a wheelchair from leaving a building. In the second, they use little kids as human shields.

Barack Obama spoke at the White House Correspondents Dinner last night and joked about Donald Trump and smeared millions of Americans who have valid questions about Obama's past. None of what Obama did was presidential, but it's what most of his supporters want and his detractors are generally unable to do anything about it.
Secure Communities is mandatory, over objections of San Francisco and others - 10/01/10
The Department of Homeland Security's Secure Communities program collects the fingerprints of those charged with crimes by localities and checks them for immigration violations. Now, a few illegal immigration-supporting communities are finding out that, despite a previous statement from DHS implying otherwise, there's no opt-out. Localities already send such fingerprints to the FBI and the DHS gets them from the latter source and not from the former.

Earlier today, Glenn Beck held a "Restoring Honor" rally in Washington DC which was attended by somewhere around a few hundred thousand people; certainly an impressive turnout (UPDATE: see below). Roy Beck of Numbers USA attended yesterday's pro-illegal immigration march, and you can watch the reception he received on the video at peekURL.com/v41a4yc which is also attached right or below. Most literate cities of 2008: NYC at #24, L.A. at #56 - 12/26/08
The "America's Most Literate Cities 2008" list has been released by Central Connecticut State University: link. Things like this generally fall into the FWIW/"for entertainment purposes only" category due to the varying definitions of "literate" and so forth. And, some sections of a given city are more "literate" than others, and some cities may be more cohesively "literate" vs certain others which only have a few islands of "literate-ness" scattered about.

Immigrants' List is a Washington DC-based PAC (immigrantslist.org) that raises money to support "pro-immigration candidates", i.e., "pro-illegal immigration candidates". They admit that they were formed in 2006 by "a group of immigration attorneys" (immigrantslist.org/pages/ourmembers), and in fact every member of their board seems to fit that description: Ira Kurzban, Michael Maggio, Denyse Sabagh, Ted Ruthizer, Gordon Quan, Vera Weisz, Royal Berg, and Nancy-Jo Merritt.
